It is no longer news that English Premier League giant Manchester United are interested in signing Victor Lindelof in the ongoing winter transfer window from Benfica.

Some new reports coming from Portugal have indicated that the 22-year-old Swedish international will definitely complete his move to Old Trafford this month.

Nevertheless, some people think Mourinho do not need a player like Lindelof in his team now but needs a new right back. And that should bring Lindelof’s teammate Semedo in the limelight.

In the central defense, the duo of Rojo and Jones have formed a strong partnership in the back, with Eric Bailly back from injury- even though he is presently representing his country in Africa. What Mourinho should do therefore is to spend money bringing Semedo into Old Trafford this month. It was revealed that he has a release clause of €45m in his contract.

The 23-year old has been in top form for the Benfica this season. In 25 appearances, he scored 2 times and has provided 4 assists in his side.
