Manchester United are considering a summer move for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.
Jose Mourinho is looking to bring big-signings to the Old Trafford this summer after seeing his side suffer a difficult campaign this season which will see them miss out on the top four in the Premier League.
Manchester United have struggled to score goals this season, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is their top scorer netting 28 goals in all competitions, and is out with a long-term injury that will rule him out till next January.
Aubameyang has been tipped to leave the Bundesliga this summer, with several clubs in Europe such as Paris Saint Germain, Manchester City and Arsenal believed to be vying for his signature.
It is understood that the Gabonese forward is angling for a move away from Dortmund after several windows of interest from a host of clubs.
Reports in French outlet L’Equipe claim that United have contacted the striker about the chances of joining them this summer though he will have to beat competition from Real Madrid.
There are speculations that Mourinho views Auba as a potential replacement if he fails to sign Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann this summer. Arsenal also tried to sign the 27-year-old last summer but failed in their bid to sign him
