Manchester United star player Juan Mata has shed light on a pleasing dressing room atmosphere at his club following a week that saw United reach the League Cup final and reach the FA Cup fifth round too.

The Old Trafford club lost their 17-game unbeaten streak last Thursday against Hull City following a 2-1 defeat. They were however able to secure their place in the League Cup final against Southampton.

Then Mourinho’s men returned to winning ways with a 4-0 romp over Wigan Athletic on Sunday, where the duo of Axel Tuanzebe and Joel Pereira make their senior debuts.

And Juan Mata, writing in his weekly blog, started that the dressing room was a happy place following recent results.

“The last few days have been very emotional,” he stated.

“The week with both Cups is over and it’s been very positive for us. We started with a defeat tha ended our streak of undefeated games, although we were able to eliminate Hull and make it to the EFL Cup final.”

Heading into February, Manchester United find themselves in an undeniably promising position. Mourinho and his men are still under pressure to break into the first four on the Epl table, they are still in the FA Cup, they are set to go up against Saint Etienne side in the Europa League, and are preparing for a League Cup final date with Southampton.

After their slow start at the beginning of this campaign, the Old Trafford club under Jose Mourinho are now making their fans happy – and their fans hopes they can continue with that.
