It has been made known that Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are also keeping tabs on Alexis Sanchez, and that the Portuguese boss believes he can bring the Chilean to Manchester next year.
Since making his debut for the gunners in 2014, Alexis has scored 73 goals in 147 appearances for the North London club and has become one of the most important players in the club. However, he looked set for a sensational £60million move to Manchester City on transfer deadline day after emerging as a target following his links with the citizens for much of the summer.
The move however never materialised and considering that the 28-year-old will be out of contract next summer, the former Barcelona man could leave the Emirates for free ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
And The Sun claims that Man United boss Jose Mourinho is personally confident he can struck a deal for the striker and feels he can snatch the player away from Man City’s grip.
It was also added that the Chile international will be unable to sign a pre-contract with the Old Trafford club until the new year but an agreement can be made for the deal to sail through.
Sanchez is yet to score for his current side in the Premier League so far this season, he started on the bench when they shared a point with Chelsea at the weekend.
