Manchester United are yet to officially bring in a new player in the ongoing transfer session – and fans are looking on eagerly. However, one player projected to be first on the list is Benfica’s Victor Lindelof. Lots of reports in the media indicates that he would soon become a United player.
A major hindrance to the deal is the delay that arise due to a fee that will have to be paid to Lindelof’s former club Vasteras. However, Vasteras chairman has announced that he is positive everything will go fine.
Additionally, Bruno Andrade, a journalist based in Lisbon, insisted on his twitter account that the Swedish defender’s move is already done and what is remaining is just some other formalities for the deal to be officially announced.
Lindelof played a key role in Benfica’s last season title winning. The 22-year has also been an influential figure this season as the Portuguese club sit on top of the table.
Another good factor that strengthened his Old Trafford move is the present situation in Benfica’s team. In the last two games, he didn’t feature for the Portuguese side – an indication that they are already preparing for life without him.
Daily Star revealed that Victor Lindelof is expected to sign a huge contract with Manchester United that will make him earn £120,000-a-week.
