Manchester United are ready to battle Chelsea for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Dele Alli, according to reports.
The Red Devils are poised to make their final signing this summer, following the arrivals of Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Magic and Victor Lindelof, with several reports emanating from transfer sources over the club’s targets.
United boss Jose Mourinho came out to confirm that he wanted to sign a left winger who is capable of playing at wingback position, following intense reports that the Europa League holders were interested in signing Inter Milan winger, Ivan Perisic.
The Red Devils have since then shifted their sights in signing other targets as Inter dragged their feet on the deal, sparking speculations that United were considering a move for a right-back who is capable of playing in the midfield, with the likes of Serge Aurier, Sergio Roberto and Fabinho all linked with an Old Trafford move.
However, the latest report from Daily Mail have it that Manchester United are contemplating a move for Spurs midfielder Dele Alli and will battle Chelsea for the player’s signature this summer.
Although, it is understood that Tottenham are not considering offers for the English midfield maestro but the player might be thinking otherwise with suggestions that he wants to change his agent which could trigger some transfer business at Spurs.
