Apparently, Manchester United are going to be quite busy this summer. Apart from a handful of superb players being linked with the club already (including Barcelona star player Neymar), another Brazilian player in the person of Marquinhos is now in the limelight.
According to new reports, the Old Trafford club are getting ready to offer a mouthwatering £59 Million to Ligue I side Paris Saint-Germain for the Samba star in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old has successfully made his marks as one of Europe’s most promising defenders in his four seasons stay with the French club.
He is now linked with a move to Manchester United, and the premier league giants are reportedly set to offer him £8m-a-year wages.
It was however added that PSG wants Marquinhos to stay at the club and are not prepared to sell him for any price right now.
Man United’s Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho is looking towards bringing in new defenders into his squad ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, and various defenders have been linked with the club.
At PSG, Marquinhos had been demanding a high pay rise, and United could capitalise on that to lure him into the English premier league.
However, his father recently stated that money is not the most important thing, but how he can be one of the best stars in a team – and he wants his current club to prove to him that he is one of the most important players in the team.
