Manchester United and Liverpool have been told to pay up to £50million for Leicester City goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel, according to reports.

The Danish shot-stopper has been a key figure for the former Premier League champions, drawing interest from a couple of clubs but the Foxes will not allow him to leave for less than their astronomical valuation of £50m.

Manchester United have been tipped to make a move for Schmeichel this summer as they prepare for life without David De Gea who has been tipped to join Real Madrid in a stunning deal this summer.

But the Red Devils will have to compete with their League rivals, Liverpool who have also been tipped to move for the 30-year-old, with reports that Jurgen Klopp wants to bring in a new face to the stand after getting frustrated at his current keepers’ poor performances which saw them concede cheap goals despite being an attacking side.

Reports in the Sun claim that the Leicester City have told the interested clubs to pay £50million for the services of their key man this summer.

The valuation could eclipse Manchester City’s £34million transfer fee for Ederson from Benfica earlier this summer and the Foxes believe their prized asset can only leave for a fee around that figure.
