Man United Swoop In To Battle Chelsea For Top Euro Striker’s Signature

Manchester United have entered race to sign Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandoski, according to reports.

The 28-year-old recently came out to vent his frustration at the German giants, claiming he was not given support in his quest to become the highest goalscorer in the Bundesliga.

Following Lewandoski’s outburst, Premier League champions Chelsea were said to have open talks with the forward about a potential transfer with reports that Blues boss, Antonio Conte considers the Polish star as an ideal replacement for Diego Costa who is believed to be locked in negotiations with his former club, Atletico Madrid.

It is understood that Lewan is unhappy at Bayern and will ask for a move this summer, after criticising his boss, Carlo Ancelotti and his teammates for not being supportive during the last campaign.

Reports in the Sky Sports claim that Manchester United have spoken with Lewandoski’s agents about a  possible move this summer.

However, there are strong indications that the forward will prefer to move to Chelsea instead of Manchester United, with reports that he prefers living in London than Manchester.

Having just signed a contract last December, Bayern Munich will be in control of the proposed deal with reports that they will ask for a transfer fee around  £100million to sell him.
