Belgium international and Man United striker Romelu Lukaku has stated that the England national team should have walked out of the pitch after they were racially abused by the Montenegro fans during the international break.
It was reported that Danny Rose, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Raheem Sterling were all subjected to monkey chants which amounts to racist abuse during their European Championship qualifier.
UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin is one of those that have reacted to the racial chants as he described the game as a disaster. The country has therefore been charged by UEFA and that could lead to closing their stadium in their next home game.
Belgium international in his reaction stated that he expected England to walk out of the pitch to make a statement to other countries and to the organizers of the competition.
He noted that players react differently to the abuse, noting that it gives him an edge but to some, they could overreact or get down by the abuse.
However, Harry Kane has made it clear that the next time such a situation will come up, he will personally lead the team out of the pitch as it will no longer be accepted by the England national team.
