Merseyside club Liverpool are trying to lure Nice left-back Dalbert Henrique to the Anfield stadium to rival first-choice defender James Milner.

Reports in France indicate the Nice Brazilian left full back will be targeted by Liverpool, once they’ve found a buyer for out of favour Alberto Moreno.

The defender played 38 matches in his first season for the Ligue 1 side following his move from Vitoria Guimaraes for £2m last summer transfer window.

Dalbert has also played on the left-side of midfield for the French club, and the versatility will surely interest Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as he could utilise him as a more attacking option if need be.

With the manager using midfielder James Milner at left-back last season, a specialist is required in the position.

The 23-year-old defender has a running contract with Nice until 2021 but is believed to be preferring a move to Serie A side Inter Milan after reportedly agreeing to a five-year deal with the Serie A side.

The Reds, at this moment, have been frustrated in their pursuit of a new left-back with Ryan Sessegnon choosing to remain at Fulham and Benjamin Mendy almost sure to join Premier League rivals Manchester City before the season commences in August.
