Liverpool star player Nathaniel Clyne was not included in their Champions League squad, and it appears his wound is not close to being healed.
The talented player was last seen during Liverpool’s pre-season and not much has been said about him since then.
The fact that the Englishman was not part of the squad for the Champions League shows clearly that he will be out for a long time.
Additionally, both Lazar Markovic and Danny Ings were also excluded from the squad that will play for the Reds in the European premier competition. Danny is still recovering from an injury while Lazar could not successfully complete a move away from Anfield on deadline day.
However, to the delight of many Liverpool fans, Adam Lallana was included in the squad – which indicates he should be back from injury anytime soon.
Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho was also included after the Reds chose not to sell him to La Liga giants Barcelona in the summer, despite the huge fee offered for him, and despite his own desire to make the move.
Liverpool have been very impressive recently and are currently occupying the second position on the premier league table behind Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
Jurgen Klopp is set to lead his men to the Etihad stadium to meet Manchester City after the international break.
