Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is known for his love for giving young players the chance to prove themselves on the top stage despite their tenderness.
The German manager has given a handful of youngsters the chance to play properly since taking over the mantle of leadership at Anfield.
One of the young talents who has made good progress under the former Dortmund manager at Liverpool is Welsh international Ben Woodburn. And since the youngster has proved himself to be a superb player with a bright future, it is wise for the club to extend his stay at Merseyside by making him sign a new deal.
And Liverpool Echo made it known that Woodburn is set to be rewarded with a new long term contract by Jurgen Klopp’s side after turning 18 on Sunday.
The playmaker scored his first goal for Liverpool last season, and the goal made him the youngest goalscorer at Anfield.
The teenage sensation also scored on his debut for the Wales senior national side. Playing just 75 minutes in four appearances, the 18-year-old scored a goal and provided an assist.
This season so far, Ben has featured just once in the first team of Liverpool, and this came during the league cup game against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
