The English Premier League match at Anfield between Liverpool and Cardiff City saw the Reds gaining their form back especially their three strikers; Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
Liverpool went on to win the match with four goals to one, however, there still seems to be some lapses in the team.
Below is the Reds players ratings against Cardiff City:
Alisson Becker (6.4): the Brazil international didn’t get much ball in the first half as Cardiff played a defensive game, but he was unable to save the lone goal from Cardiff in the second half.
Trent Alexander Arnold (6.5): he put up some good performances in the first half but nothing much in the rest of the match.
Lovren Deja (6.4): he was not really spectacular like Joe Gomez at the center back.
Virgil Van Dijk (7.2): the Netherlands captain still remains a key player in the defense, he didn’t face many challenges.
Alberto Moreno (6.8): he made a slight mistake in the second half that saw Cardiff scoring a lone goal.
Fabinho (7.2): he was brilliant and made some accurate passes at the midfield.
Gini Wijnadum (7.3): like Fabinho, Wijanadum also made some accurate passes and pushed the ball forward.
Adam Lallana (6.1): it looks as if the long time away from the Reds squad is still affecting Lallana as he didn’t make much impact.
Mo Salah (8): the Egyptian seems to have gained back his form, he scored the first goal for Liverpool.
Sadio Mane (8.5): he has also gained back his form as he scored a brace for the Reds.
Roberto Firmino (8): he played the role of an attacking midfielder well, making him the most flexible player in the Reds squad.
