Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has revealed that his future plans are on the back burner as the Reds chase down honours in two major competitions.
Mignolet and Liverpool can still end the season with two trophies with the Merseysiders still in the Champions League and the Premier League.
The Reds are closing in on a last four berth in the Champions League after beating Portuguese champions FC Porto 2-0 at home in the first leg of their quarterfinal tie.
The second leg is scheduled to take place in Portugal next week on Wednesday.
Liverpool are also in the running for the Premier League title as they are in a two-team race with defending champions Manchester City.
The Reds secured a two-point lead over their title rivals with a 3-1 comeback win over Southampton on Friday though it must be pointed out that Manchester City have played a game less than Liverpool.
Belgian international shot-stopper Simon Mignolet has played second fiddle to first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker since the Brazilian signed for the Reds in a then world-record goalkeeper deal of around £67m.
He has played just two games since the start of this season.
On his future plans, Simon Mignolet told Belgian media outlet Voetbal Nieuws that it’s on hold as he tries to support the best Liverpool team since arriving at the club in their quest to win trophies.
