Liverpool are considering an audacious swoop for Leicester City winger, Riyad Mahrez, according to reports.
The 26-year-old has been a transfer target for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea since last summer, with reports that both clubs tried to sign him previously due to his impressive performances that saw the Foxes lift the Premier League against all odds during the 2015/16 season.
There are reports that Arsenal have retained their interest in Mahrez and view him as an ideal replacement for Alexis Sanchez who is plotting a move away from the Emirates this summer.
Chelsea are also believed to be keen on landing the Algerian with reports that Antonio Conte is looking a potential replacement for Eden Hazard who has been tipped to join Spanish giants, Real Madrid.
Reports in the Daily Mail claim that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has told the club to monitor the situation of Riyad Mahrez and could pounce on his signature in the coming days.
This comes following reports that Liverpool are not near to agreeing on a summer deal for Roma winger, Mohamed Salah with reports that the Reds are not willing to meet the Serie A side’s valuation of the player despite the winger’s desire to join the Anfield based outfit this summer.
