Leno explains why his best has not been seen

Bernd Leno

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has explained that his best is yet to be seen at the club as a result of the physical nature of the Premier League which he is yet to adapt to.

The German joined the North London outfit in the last summer transfer window from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen with a fee of about £19 million to take over as the club’s first team goalkeeper ahead of legendary goalkeeper Petr Cech.

According to him, his best has not been showcased because he is finding it difficult to adapt to the physical nature of the league.

Bernd Leno explains that in the German Bundesliga outfit, goalkeepers do not usually have any contact with players because they are being protected by the referees, which is not obtainable in the English league.

He stressed that he is proud to be Arsenal’s number 1, adding that he is yet to fully get used to his teammates but he is already settling down.

However, Bernd Leno has not had enough clean sheets as a goalkeeper which has been a thing of concern but that has not been stressed by the manager who feels the three-point is most important.
