Jurgen Klopp on why he removed Mo Salah in the game against Chelsea

Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp made a shocking change on Saturday removing Mo Salah in the 66th minute.

The Reds were hoping to carry out a revenge on Chelsea in the EPL on Saturday having suffered a 2 – 1 defeat to Chelsea at Anfield in the Carabao League.

However, Liverpool met something else at Stamford Bridge which was quite unexpected.

Eden Hazard resumed his 100 per cent style, he scored a goal for Chelsea in the early minutes of the first half.

The Reds tried all effort to equalized but it was all abortive. The likes of Sadio Mane fired a shot that was saved by Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa.

However, in the 66th minute, Jurgen Klopp made a wild change that saw the Egypt International, Mo Salah being replaced with Shaqiri.

Daniel Sturridge turned out to be the Reds the saviour, scoring a goal at the 89th minute.

Coach Jurgen Klopp in a post-match statement disclosed why he removed Mo Salah.

The German coach revealed that Mo Salah was not 100 per cent for the Reds during the match at Stamford Bridge.

He added that immediately Mo Salah lost what would have been his first goal at Stamford, the striker starting passing other opportunities to his teammates.
