Jurgen Klopp is determined to lift the trophy, says ‘second is nothing’

Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool are determined to end their long-term wait for a major silverware this season.

Coach Jurgen Klopp is finally aware that being ‘second is nothing’ in the race to lift trophy and he is ready to see to it that the current campaign yields a tangible result.

The last time Liverpool lifted a major trophy was in 2012 under the management of Kenny Dalglish, however, since then the Reds have missed out of winning any trophy.

Klopp, since his appointment as Liverpool coach, has tasted three defeat in the finals, which include; the Europa League, League Cup, and Uefa Champions League.

The German is, however, ready to turn things around this time with Liverpool being a major contender in the EPL and also in the UCL, Klopp is hopeful of lifting one of the two trophies – or possibly both.

But Klopp acknowledged that it is going to be a difficult task because unlike Liverpool, some other football clubs have improved as well and are also hoping to win.

At the moment, the Reds are faced with stern competitions from Man City and Chelsea, with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs also moving closer.

The Reds are currently seated in the third spot on the Premier League table.
