Jose Mourinho: I Wish Manchester United Did Not Sell This Player

Jose Mourinho

Obviously, Jose Mourinho is not happy with his side’s inabilities to score goals and more goals – which is a clear indication that he is going to invest in his striking department next season.

The Portuguese coach criticised some of his boys, including Mkhitaryan, Rashford, Lingaard, and Martial following the draw with West Brom last weekend.

He hailed the six players who played at the defense and midfield roles, and isn’t happy with the four creative players who failed to score a goal for his side.

Swede star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been impressive for Man United upon his arrival last summer, and has gone on to score 26 times in all competitions for the Old Trafford club. But the rest of the red devils forwards have struggled to do their job.

Marcfus Rashford for one is yet to score again in the premier league since September last year, and Juan Mata is the current second highest-goal-scorer at Man United this season with ten goals.

And Mourinho stated that if Javier Hernandez had remained at Manchester United, he would have scored 20 goals this season for the club. The Mexican star in 103 appearances for Manchester United, scored 37 times. He left the Old Trafford club last August under Louis van Gaal and was signed by Bayer Leverkusen.

He is currently displaying fine form at his current club, and United’s manager has attested that he would never have sold the Mexico international if he was still at the club when he arrived.
