Jose Mourinho Tells Close Pals About Imminent Transfer For This Euro Striker

Alvaro Morata

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has told his close pals that he will be signing Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata this summer, according to reports.

The Spaniard is one of the several names that have linked with a move to the Old Trafford this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

Reports in Manchester Evening News claim that Mourinho is confident about signing Morata this summer after telling his close friends about his intentions to sign the forward as an ideal replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whose future at United seems very unclear.

Although, reports in Tuttosport also claim that United are readying a £71m bid for Torino forward after failing in their initial bid for Morata.

It is believed that Real Madrid will hold out for an astronomical fee for Morata with reports that Zinedine Zidane has told club president Florentino Perez that he should not sell any of the stars, except Portuguese defender, Pepe.

Speaking about Morata’s future, his agent Juanma Lopez told Foot Mercato: ‘The player will take a clear and definitive decision in the coming days. I have not yet met with the representatives from Real Madrid,

He does not want to do a season like this again. It was a great season, but he wants to play more.’

There are reports that Real Madrid are reluctant to allow Morata leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer and will be holding out for a fee around £78million.

Morata who returned to Real Madrid last summer after an impressive spell with Juventus, has been a bit-part player for Real under Zidane.
