Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has made a sensational U-turn on the proposed move for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.
The Portuguese star has been tipped to return to the Old Trafford this summer, following his decision to leave the Santiago Bernabeu after being accused of defrauding the Spanish tax authorities.
Although, Real Madrid have remained adamant about keeping Ronaldo beyond this summer transfer window, backing him amid the tax investigations and rumours.
Recent reports claim that Manchester United are considering a summer swoop for the 32-year-old and have even met with the player’s representatives about a potential move.
However, reports in the Daily Star claim that Jose Mourinho has changed his mind about moving for Cristiano Ronaldo this summer because he believes the superstar is only planning to get more money from the Spanish giants.
Ronaldo, who only signed a lucrative deal with Real last summer, is valued at around 1billion pounds, according to Real Madrid President Florentino Perez who has also claimed that the forward is not for sale.
French giants, Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with an interest in Ronaldo after it emerged that the player told his agents to thrash out a deal for him this summer.
