According to new reports, United boss Jose Mourinho has expressed a desire to sell Adnan Januzaj on a permanent basis this summer.
Adnan pulled into the worldwide scene in emphatic fashion back in 2013 when David Moyes was still boss. The Belgian impressed many with a series of mesmerizing performances out wide but quickly drifted into anonymity when Louis van Gaal took over.
Now that Mourinho is with the mantle of leadership in the Old Trafford club, Adnan failed to secure a space for himself and he was loaned out to Sunderland over the summer.
However, The Independent said that the Portuguese tactician was unimpressed by Januzaj performances while he was out on loan and Mourinho has instructed the board to consider offers as low as £8m for him despite him being valued at around £15m
We are surprised at Mourinho’s dramatic change of attitude towards transfer policy. Just few weeks ago, he forced Everton to improve their £19m bid for Schneiderlin and even rejected Lyon’s £13m offer for Memphis Depay.
It is clear that Mourinho respect Depay and Schneiderlin. Even though the duo can’t obviously get anywhere near his starting XI, he still demanded more than what was initially offered for the two outcasts. But on Januzaj’s case, he is willing to see him leave for less than what he is actually worth. That means the 21-year-old is not part of Mourinho’s plans at Old Trafford and he is even considered way below the standard required to succeed at United.
