Former Chelsea defender John Terry has revealed that he does not miss playing football almost a year after he announced his retirement from the round leather game.

John Terry ended his 20-year football career at the end of last season and the former Three Lions of England made the decision to retire last summer despite having several playing offers from clubs in Russia and England.

The Chelsea legend told Sky Sports that he has not missed playing football.

John Terry played over 750 games for Stamford Bridge outfit Chelsea during his playing career before joining English Championship club Aston Villa at the start of last season following the expiration of his Blues contract in the summer of 2017.

While he was at Chelsea, the ex-England international centre back captained the Blues to five Premier League titles including his last season at the club.

John Terry missed the final but that didn’t stop Chelsea from winning the 2012 Champions League title at the Allianz Arena at the expense of their hosts Bayern Munich.

Chelsea emerged victorious after penalties after both sides played out a 1-1 draw at the end of regulation time and extra time.

John Terry is currently the assistant manager to Aston Villa manager Dean Smith.
