Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has received more unpleasant injury updates as his side head into the second-part of this season’s campaign.
Arsenal have got their fair share of injury tales as a handful of important players have been put out. Wenger however seek to revive his side’s challenge for the Premier League title.
Several of the boys have been out of action at some point this season. But Santi Cazorla is one player who haven’t returned from his injury lay-off so far. Since October, he hasn’t made an appearance for the gunners, and he also underwent surgery last month on his ankle. Presently, he has been ruled out for the next three months.
However, Arsene recently revealed that Cazorla is now dealing with a new set-back. This means the Spaniard’s return date in March will be postponed. This of course would jeopardize his chances of playing again this season.
“It could be a bit longer. At the moment I don’t really know, but I just have a schedule that he is not planned at the moment to go outside and run.” Wenger said.
“I think once a player goes outside and runs without any problems, you come six weeks. At the moment he has not been out so that’s why I say in January he will certainly not play.
“It is [frustrating] because he’s such a great player and as well because he has started the season in such a tremendous way. He was the dominating player in our squad at the start of the season and we suddenly lost him.”
