The Gunners came gallantly back from three goals down against Bournemouth in their last Premier League match to snatch a point when all seem to be lost.

However, failure to take the full 3 points in the game against the Cherries have further reduced their chances of winning the EPL title this season, considering the tough competition going on presently. Moreover, Mourinho’s Manchester United are now two points behind Arsenal, and they are so in-form.

Nevertheless, Arsene Wenger is looking up to the next game as they will be hosted by Preston in the FA Cup third round game on Saturday.

Now talking about injury update, reports from PhysioRoom has it that seven players are out due to injury. It was also said that Wenger should be resting many of the first team players due to the busy schedules at the festive period.

Additionally, it stated that there are some doubts that players like Theo Walcott, Kieran Gibbs, Mesut Ozil, and Per Mertesacker are expected to be fit at the weekend on 7th January.

Before the start of this season, Mertesacker suffered a major knee injury. His return should add more strength to the team defence. About in-form Ozil who has missed the last two games due to illness, even if he should be fit before the Preston game, Wenger would definitely give him some rest.
