I Won’t Reach Top Form This Season – Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne

Former Chelsea playmaker Kevin De Bruyne (KDB) has revealed that it would be difficult for him to reach top form at his club this season.

Kevin De Bruyne plays his club football for Premier League champions Manchester City who are on the hunt for four trophies (quadruple).

In his pre-match thoughts ahead of the FA Cup clash with Brighton and Hove Albion, KDB confessed that it would be difficult for him to reach top form again this season.

Kevin De Bruyne further revealed that it was hard coming back from his various injury setbacks.

The Belgian international has struggled with ligament and thigh injuries this season in comparison with the last campaign when he had a relatively injury free season.

He was the star player for Manchester City who churned out a record-breaking season with 100 points from 38 games.

Despite his absence over the course of this season, Manchester City have maintained the hunt for major honours in four competitions including the Carabao Cup which they have already won.

Manchester City retained the Carabao Cup in February after they defeated Chelsea via penalties.

KDB and Manchester City can take another step towards winning another trophy this season when they face Brighton and Hove Albion in their FA Cup semifinal clash on Saturday evening.
