I was ‘forced’ out of Arsenal, Man United legend claims

Manchester United legend Andy Cole has revealed that he was ‘forced’ out of Arsenal because of George Graham.

Cole made it clear his intention to remain with the Gunners but like was unbearable for him under the manager because of his style.

According to the United legend, his teammates had nicknamed the Scotsman the late Libyan dictator Colonel Gaddafi because of his style at the club which was quite similar.

Cole noted that he was 16 years of age at that time and he thought he was ripe enough to make the first team with his good performance but that did not happen.

He, therefore, noted that the North London side at that time had great players like Paul Merson, Ian Wright, Alan Smith and the likes who he had to compete with for space but that did not bother him.

Graham at that time had behaved like a dictator who never wanted to be challenged or questioned and that was the sin committed by Cole which made his stay at the club uninteresting.

The former Manchester United man said Graham will only have you out of the club once you refused to play by his own rules and nothing else.
