Football journalist Duncan Castles has accused Man United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward of causing some issues at the club’s training ground by blocking up the wage bill and space.
Duncan Castles seems unsatisfied with some decisions made by the Red Devils chief in the past 12 months and he thinks they could pose a major problem to their team in the future.
It would be recalled that Marcos Rojo was awarded a new contract in March 2018 before Chris Smalling about nine months later amongst other deals that were handed to players.
Duncan Castles is of the opinion that problems would be created at the club should they have an overly large squad, noting that Ed Woodward has not been handling the contract issues rightly.
According to him, players who do not deserve new deals are being handed one which will in turn block space of wages for others who truly deserve it.
However, Man United are still expected to land new players in the coming summer transfer window with interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already giving the hint that he has been in the process and he expects the additions ahead of the coming season if he retains the job on a permanent deal.
