Manchester United star Henrikh Mkhitaryan has promised to do his very best to score – and provide – more goals for the Red Devils this season.
In a message to fans, the attacker described how he wants to bring happiness to supporters and is aiming for more throughout this new season.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan enjoyed an impressive pre-season and made five assists in his first three English Premier League matches, but was unfortunate not to match Thierry Henry and Cesc Fabregas’ English Premier League record of six assists in the opening four League matches against Stoke City last weekend.
Unfortunately, one for striker Romelu Lukaku – which would have been his sixth assist of the League season – was chalked off as Jack Butland saved the initial shot after Mkhitaryan’s pass before the Belgian tapped away the rebound.
In an interview with top magazine, Armenian Soldier, translated into English language by VbetNews, the attacking midfielder has opened up on his background, aspirations and national pride.
He has already provided as many assists as he ended last campaign with after providing two goals against West Ham and Swansea City, before crossing for England international Marcus Rashford’s winner against Leicester City.
He also said in the interview he does not have a football role model – but his favourite player as a young boy was current Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.
