Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s agent says he is still working on a move to Manchester United for the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.
Mkhitaryan, 27, has been linked with a transfer away from Dortmund this summer, with sources saying that Arsenal are interested, while his agent Mino Raiola has claimed United have made a €24 million offer.
However, the Bundesliga club have insisted that they have no plans to sell the Armenia international and will force him to see out his contract at the Westfalenstadion, which expires next summer.
Mkhitaryan has said he has no plans to extend his stay at Dortmund, and Raiola still believes he can fashion a move to United for his client.
“It would be a sin to stop talking,” Raiola is quoted as saying, “I am a positive guy. If I wasn’t confident of reaching some kind of conclusion, I wouldn’t try.
“I am very proud Manchester United want him and the talks are being held in a good atmosphere, but at the moment Dortmund are still saying no.”
Another of Raiola’s clients, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, has also been linked with a move to United this summer.
The Sweden captain is a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain and is widely expected to move to Old Trafford when he returns from Euro 2016.
However, Raiola says that the striker, who is reported to have had lucrative offers from China and the United States, is still yet to have made up his mind about his future.
“Manchester United is a great club, with a great coach,” Raiola said. “But Zlatan has not yet made his choice.”
