The heart of every Liverpool fans are filled with joy after yesterday’s thrashing of Arsenal at the Anfield Stadium.
The team didn’t just pick maximum points against one of their greatest rivals, they did it in style as they scored five goals against Bernd Leno.
The Reds are sitting comfortably at the top of the League table with nine points depending on the outcome of Manchester City’s clash with Southampton at the St Mary’s stadium later in the day.
Should the Citizens defeat the Saints, then the gap would be reduced to seven points.
The gap would remain if Pep Guardiola records his third straight defeat of the season against Roy Hodgson’s men.
There is another reason for the Reds’ faithfuls to smile, as reports are claiming that Klopp is willing to reignite his interest in French midfielder Nabil Fekir
WHAT’S THE STORY
According to the Mirror, Liverpool manager has reportedly cooled his desire to reunite with Christian Pulisic at the Merseyside club as result of the youngster’s dwindled form and the current form of his attackers.
The British publication further claimed that the German tactician is ready to make an offer to Lyon midfielder Nabil Fekir, whom he surprisingly turned down the chance to capture his signature during the summer window.
A GOOD MOVE FROM KLOPP?
Fekir is definitely one of the best midfielders in the world at the moment.
His majestic way of controlling the midfield is out of this world and he will surely bring more quality to Liverpool’s good-looking midfield setup.
Klopp’s major reason for turning down the chance to sign the Frenchman before this time was Fekir’s injury-prone nature and that could make him fall down the pecking order at Liverpool due to the arrays of stars he would be competing for a place in the team.
Fekir is a player who gets injured too often and that has raised doubts over his competency to be a big star in the Premier League due to the hard-tackling nature of the League.
Bar his injury woes, the Frenchman would be a very good addition to the team as his creativity will help create more clear-cut chances. His defensive abilities will also help protect the back-four from conceding many goals.
Indeed it’s a good time and wonderful time to be a Liverpool fan as things are just falling into perfect place at Anfield and, most importantly, the Merseyside club have one hand on the Premier League trophy judging from their current form and run of results
