The FA Cup drama continues…
One of the things which happened while the game was on is the bust-up between both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.
The two managers were screaming and yelling at each other, and we wonder what they were saying. However, it is now revealed.
It was revealed that the former Juventus manager screamed ‘play the ball’ at the former Real Madrid coach during their touchline row in the blues win over Manchester United on Monday night.
In the first half of the game at Stamford Bridge, Valencia’s hard challenge from behind on Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso sparked anger from the Chelsea boss. Antonio Conte immediately turned to confront the Portuguese coach in the technical area.
According to the Daily Mail, the former Italy manager was shouting ‘again, again, again, again’ to the Manchester United coach, making reference to the number of heavy tackles on his Chelsea players. He then followed it up with ‘play the ball’.
And after full-time and while in his post-match press conference, the Italian coach admitted that he was quite unhappy with the red devils heavy-handed tactics, particularly towards Belgian star Eden Hazard.
Conte said it was impossible for the Belgium international to play the ball in the 20-25 minutes as he keeps receiving lots of kicks.
The Chelsea coach claimed that in the game, Hazard received hard kicks from the start of the game to the finishing, insisting that no one can say it did not happened.
Yesterday, the Old Trafford outfit were charged with failing to control their players in the immediate aftermath of Spaniard Ander Herrera’s red card.
Argentina international Marcos Rojo on his part escaped being punished for his alleged stamp on Hazard’s chest in the second half.
