The English transfer window had been slammed shut last Thursday, but it is understood that Liverpool star player Lazar Markovic could still complete a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce this week following the club’s interests in him.
According to reports coming from Turkey, Fenerbahce have made an offer to take Markovic on loan for the rest of the term and want Liverpool to allow him to leave Anfield.
It was also added that the Turkish heavyweights have the intention of signing the Serbian permanently in the summer.
Lazar did spend some time on loan with Fenerbahce back in 2015/16. Unfortunately for him, his season there was ended prematurely as a result of a hamstring injury.
Some days back, the 23-year-old was linked with reuniting with Marco Silva at Watford after spending the second half of last campaign on loan under Marco at Hull City. However, a deal never materialised before the closure of the English transfer window.
The youngster is not obviously in Jurgen Klopp’s plans this season at Anfield, and the German boss never included him in Liverpool’s Champions League squad.
If these reports are therefore anything to go by, Liverpool fans shouldn’t be too surprised to see the player leave Anfield before the Turkish transfer window closes on September 8th.
