Everton Vs Chelsea: Legend Gives ‘Unbiased’ Prediction To Game

Chelsea are still favorites to win the premier league title this season with just five games left to be played.

The Stamford Bridge club eased to a 4-2 win in their last premier league outing against Southampton at Stamford Bridge, and are set to continue with their fine form.

They moved seven points clear of their closest title rivals Tottenham Hotspur after the win prior to Spurs game against Crystal Palace the following Wednesday.

Dramatic goal from Spurs star Christian Eriksen gave Mauricio Pochettino’s side the three points that saw the gap between them and the premier league leaders reduced back to four.

Chelsea are set to travel to Goodison Park for their next premier league game against an Everton side with one of the best goalscorers this season in the person of Romelu Lukaku.

The blues are presented with another opportunity to restore their seven points lead before Tottenham play London rivals Arsenal at White Hart Lane.
And former Arsenal man Paul Merson is already backing Antonio Conte’s side to a 2-1 victory gainst Everton at Goodison Park.

The Arsenal legend described Everton as a ‘weird team’, and that is what they are.

Merson’s prediction is sort of realistic – because Chelsea’s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois seem to be getting fond of conceding goals in all their matches – so it’s almost certain Everton will score a goal (and perhaps, Chelsea’s target Romelu Lukaku – who is also the highest goalscorer in the premier league – will be the one to score for Everton).

However, Chelsea have the better squad and are firm favourites to win the game.
