Torino club president Umberto Cairo has insisted that top striker, Andrea Belotti will only leave for £88 million this summer.
The Italian forward has been targeted by a number of clubs in Europe due to his goalscoring displays in the Serie A last season, with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal believed to be vying for his signature.
There are suggestions that United have registered an interest in Belotti as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad this summer but Torino club president has insisted that the 23-year-old will only leave if his £88 million release clause is triggered.
He said: “I care about Belotti and I’m keeping hold of him.
“He has a contract with Toro until 2021. I would only sell him for €100 million (£88 million), but even then he can refuse.
“The most important thing is what he wants, regardless of the release clause, and I think he wants to stay.”
Arsenal are also believed to have submitted a £56million offer for Belotti during the last January transfer window, which was rejected by the Serie A club.
It is understood that Jose Mourinho is keen on bringing in Belotti as an ideal replacement for Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic with reports that the Red Devils have tied a deal for Real Madrid forward, Alvaro Morata.
