After the midweek win at Stamford Bridge against Man City, Chelsea moved ahead to record another impressive victory in the English top flight.
And Eden Hazard, who scored his 14th goal in the premier league during the game, has now revealed one crucial factor that made his side more determined to beat Bournemouth
The Belgian stated bluntly that Tottenham Hotspur’s victory over Stoke City helped inspired them to triumph over Bournemouth.
Hazard too was on the scoresheet as the west London club beat Bournemouth 3-1 in style and continued their focused charge towards the Premier League crown.
And the Belgium international stated that the desire to regain their seven-point lead over their nearest challengers Tottenham Hotspur, provided a sort of extra motivation to grab all three points.
Hazard explained to BT Sport after the match that his side knows the result of Tottenham before their own game and they wanted to stay seven points ahead.
He was delighted they passed the test with the three goals which gave them the victory.
Hazard stated further that it is more easy to control the game when a team scores first. And even though his side, at the end of the first half, went a bit down, they controlled the game in the second half.
With just seven more games left to be played, Chelsea remains firm favorites to lift the premier league crown this season.
