West Ham United have made a dramatic u-turn by reaching the decision to offer striker Andy Carroll a new deal for him to stay at the club beyond this summer.
This is according to the publication from popular English news portal The Sun which claimed that the former Liverpool player is now expected to sign a new contract.
Andy Carroll was initially expected to leave the Hammers upon the expiration of his current deal with West Ham United.
The 30-year-old has battled with several injuries during his time in East London.
The former England international player has played just one full game as a result of those injuries.
Andy Carroll signed for West Ham United from Liverpool in a deal reported to be around £15m.
The Englishman joined the Hammers in the summer of 2013 after his largely unsuccessful spell at Liverpool who signed the Geordie forward for a whopping £35m.
