Dramatic U-turn: West Ham To Offer Ex-Liverpool Striker New Deal

Andy Carroll

West Ham United have made a dramatic u-turn by reaching the decision to offer striker Andy Carroll a new deal for him to stay at the club beyond this summer.

This is according to the publication from popular English news portal The Sun which claimed that the former Liverpool player is now expected to sign a new contract.

Andy Carroll was initially expected to leave the Hammers upon the expiration of his current deal with West Ham United.

The 30-year-old has battled with several injuries during his time in East London.

The former England international player has played just one full game as a result of those injuries.

Andy Carroll signed for West Ham United from Liverpool in a deal reported to be around £15m.

The Englishman joined the Hammers in the summer of 2013 after his largely unsuccessful spell at Liverpool who signed the Geordie forward for a whopping £35m.

West Ham United would be hoping to build on their 10th placed finish this season ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

The Hammers secured a top-ten finish on the final day of the just concluded Premier League season following the 4-1 away victory over Watford.

The win ensured that West Ham United leapfrogged the Hornets into tenth spot on the last day of the season.
