According to latest reports, Ligue 2 side – Tours, have signed Arsenal midfielder Ismael Bennacer on loan for the rest of the season – and they confirmed the news on their official twitter handle.
However, It will only be a temporary loan deal for the Algerian. He is going on to play again in Ligue 2 – having had a spell with Arles Avignon in Ligue 2 before he joined Arsenal.
The 19-year-old is a versatile talent. Even though he is usually played as a central midfielder, he is also capable of playing out wide. He is both an excellent passer of the ball and a tough tackler – and has recently returned from the AFCON where he was part of the Algeria squad.
Bennacer has been able to make just one senior appearance for the Gunners under Arsene Wenger – which was in the League Cup defeat to Sheffield last season.
On the other hand, the North London club have also sanctioned a loan deal for midfielder Gedion Zelalem – who will be spending the rest of this season on loan at Eerste Divisie side, VVV Venlo.
Gedion joined Arsenal back in 2013 and has made just four first-team appearances so far. Nevertheless, he has been a regular member in Arsenal’s U-23 squad.
The 20-year-old midfielder sure enjoyed a wonderful 2015-16 campaign with Scottish side Rangers. He made 21 league appearances for Warburton’s side as they earned promotion back to the Scottish Premiership.
