As reported by various news outlets on Monday that Premier League giants Manchester United confirmed youngster Dean Henderson had signed for Sheffield United on loan and supporters of both clubs are glad by the news.
Bright future ahead
The highly-rated 21-year-old having performed brilliantly during a loan stint at Shrewsbury last term, and could have a great future at the red half of Manchester if he can keep on impressing in his loan spells away from Old Trafford. Lower league side Sheffield United, who ended the Championship last season 10th on the log, have one of the best goalkeepers in that league division.
The youngster has been sent out on loan three times in his playing career – Grimsby Town, Stockport County and Shrewsbury Town. It was while at Shrewsbury Town where the England Under-21 international shone like million stars, keeping clean sheets 19 times in 49 matches for the League One club who got to the playoff final in his first campaign.
Slim chances at Old Trafford
His first-team football chances are slim at Old Trafford with Sergio Romero and Spain international first-choice goalkeeper David De Gea ahead of him in the pecking order under manager Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho, so another loan switch for Dean Henderson is the best route for him to keep getting regular playing time. Should the safe hand impress for Sheffield in 2018/19, Dean Henderson could be a senior member for Man United next year.
