Manchester United have netted a deal to sign Espanyol midfielder Arnau Puigmal, according to reports.
The Spanish youngster has been regarded as one of the hottest prospects in La Liga due to his promising displays and he is considered as one of the best academy graduates at the Catalan club.
Arnau Puigmal has done well at the international level with the Spanish under-16 team and has been touted for greater things in the La Liga but a move away from Spain could materialise this summer.
Reports in the Sport claim that Espanyol have agreed a move for Manchester United over a deal that will see Puigmal arrive at the Old Trafford this summer.
After spending up to five seasons at academy at the Catalan club, the midfielder expected to link up with the famous Manchester United academy that have produced the likes of Paul Scholes, David Beckham and lately Marcus Rashford.
Puigal was named the player of the tournament at the Mediterranean International Cup after exhibiting his quality at the competition which further drew interest from several clubs in Europe but reliable reports have it that the Red Devils have moved ahead of the other suitors.
The midfielder is expected to have a successful spell at United due to his versatility, scoring five goals in 27 apperances for Espanyol’s Cadete A side this season
