Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been told by his former club Atletico Madrid to peacefully resolve all differences with his club before they will consider bringing him back to Spain.

It means the Chelsea outcast is now under intense pressure than ever to go back to England and settle the stand-off between them.

Both clubs are ready to do business, even though there is a huge difference in their valuations of the striker.

The Blues are demanding £50million, but the La Liga club are only willing to part ways with half the valuation.

The Spain international has been AWOL for about five weeks after a text message row with Italian tactician Antonio Conte.

The 29-year-old has said he will only join his former club in Spain now that he has little of no future with the Blues.

The Spaniard says he is being treated like “a criminal” and that he only refused to return to the club after Antonio Conte sent him a text message informing him he has no future at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues reportedly fine him two weeks’ wages worth £300,000 for not returning to training after his extended summer break
.
The Premier League Champions defeated Tottenham 2-1 at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday to show they are coping fine without the striker, with new forward from Real Madrid, Alvaro Morata showing decent signs in front of goal.

Atletico Madrid’s transfer embargo until January is a major obstacle for the move.

But the Chelsea outcast could join them and only train with the team until January when he will be officially cleared to play.

The La Liga club, who has been doing business with Chelsea are keen to resolve the issue as diplomatically as possible.

And that is the reason they want the wantaway striker to resolve his fall out with Antonio Conte before they will transact any transfer business.
