Maurizio Sarri

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is reportedly in contention for the vacant managerial job at Juventus this summer.

The Italian champions will have to appoint a new permanent manager after it was revealed that current boss Maximiliano Allegri will leave his post at the end of this season.

According to trusted Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea manager Sarri and Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi are contenders for the Juventus job.

Lazio manager Simone Inzaghi was said to have held discrete talks with senior Juventus officials about the possibility of becoming the club’s new manager.

Simone Inzaghi has a contract that runs till next summer at Lazio and Juventus officials will have to discuss compensation with the capital club if they want to poach their manager.

For Chelsea boss Sarri, his time at Stamford Bridge might be coming to an end with recent reports claiming that the Blues are eyeing club legend Frank Lampard as his replacement.

Former Chelsea midfielder Lampard has done a very good job at English Championship club Derby County since he was made the manager last summer.

The ex-England international star has led Derby County to the brink of a return to Premier League football after leading the Rams to the final of the Championship Playoffs where they will face Aston Villa.
