There is no doubt that the English Premier League outfit Arsenal are keen to land a replacement for the outgoing goalkeeper Petr Cech for the coming season.
Petr Cech announced his decision to quit active football at the end of the season and could be set for a coaching role at his former side, West London outfit Chelsea.
The Legendary goalkeeper has got an opportunity to leave the stage when the ovation is high by retiring with the Europa League title as Arsenal will be playing Chelsea in the finals, later on Thursday.
However, Arsenal are reported to have indicated interest in the signature of 20-year- old goalkeeper Markus Schubert on a free transfer from 2. Bundesliga club Dynamo Dresden, if reports from Germany are to be believed.
Schubert seems to be the solution for the defensive crisis at the Emirates Stadium after making 43 appearances for the second-tier German club and keeping 12 clean sheets. His performances earned him call-ups to every German national side up to the u21s, so he’s clearly thought of highly in his home country.
It is, therefore, unclear if Markus Schubert will accept to be a third choice goalkeeper behind Emi Martinez but one sure thing is his coming to fight for a shirt.
