Deal On: Liverpool Star On Barcelona Striker Shortlist

Liverpool striker Divock Origi is reportedly on the striker shortlist at Spanish champions Barcelona during this summer’s transfer window.

This is according to the publication from Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo which revealed that Belgian international Origi is on a two-man striker shortlist at Barcelona.

The Nou Camp giants want to sign a new striker this summer and they are on the trail of Divock Origi as a result.

It was also revealed that Tottenham Hotspur striker Fernando Llorente is also on the striker shortlist.

Divock Origi has been able to revive his career at Liverpool after contributing immensely to their quest for major honours in the Champions League and the Premier League.

Belgian international Origi scored the crucial winning goal in league games against Everton and Newcastle United only for the Reds to lose the Premier League title to defending champions Manchester City on the final day of the season.

Divock Origi and Liverpool lost the league title by a point after finishing with 97 points from 38 games.

On their part, Manchester City finished the season with 98 points.

Origi also made a telling contribution for Liverpool during the Champions League semifinal tie with Barcelona.

He scored two goals for the Reds in their 4-0 win over Barcelona thereby turning around the 3-0 first leg deficit suffered in the first leg.

Liverpool qualified for the Champions League final via a 4-3 aggregate victory over Barcelona.
