According to new reports, premier league champions Chelsea are ready to make an official announcement of the outgoing transfer of talented youngster Jordan Houghton in the coming days.
Doncaster Rovers F.C have recently made it known that they have agreed to terms with the Stamford Bridge club over the England Youth International joining them on loan until January 2018.
Houghton spent a part of the 2016-17 campaign on loan with the newly promoted League One club, and had to return to west London after picking up an injury on his knee during Rovers 1–1 draw with Luton Town on 18 February.
And Doncaster Rovers manager Darren Ferguson, speaking recently about the 21-year-old talented midfielder, made it known that the youngster will come back to Doncaster after he has played four or five games for the Chelsea U-23 side.
”I think the big thing for him [Houghton], for Chelsea and for ourselves is that the player wants to come back so much.” the manager said.
The Englishman is expected to show his stuff in Friday’s Premier League 2 game against Derby County at Stamford Bridge.
”It is a big tick in the box for us as a club and Chelsea are delighted that Jordan is coming back here.
”Chelsea needs him to get more games, and here we think he can add to the squad we already have.”
