Long before the commencement of the winter transfer window, one player that is widely speculated to be linked with a Manchester United move is Benfica star Victor Lindelof. We won’t be surprised if he officially become a United player after the close of the ongoing transfer session.
There were lots of indications last month that the defender is going to Old Trafford, and was speculated that United agreed a fee of €45 million for the highly rated player.
However, in the twist of event, just few days ago, BBC claimed that Man United are no longer interested in signing Lindelof and won’t be making a move to sign him.
But presently, the transfer saga has taken a brand new direction as reports in Portugal indicates that Lindelof’s move to Manchester United is almost complete.
According to reports by Sport Witness via O Jogo, the red devils deal for Lindelof is done. Additionally, a Lisbon based journalist, Bruno Andrade, wrote on twitter that the deal is already done and just an official announcement is remaining. Then he posted another tweet:

“I repeat: #Lindelof expects only the resolution of some bureaucracies to be officially confirmed as a new Manchester United player”
If this is the case, then Lindelof would definitely add value to Mourinho’s squad. Considering the fact that Ivorian powerhouse Eric Bailly is already in Africa to represent his country in the African Cup of Nations, a versatile defender like Lindelof would be a perfect replacement for him.
