Deal Almost Sealed! 28-year-old set to leave Arsenal in January

According to report, Arsenal are open to the thought of cashing in on Theo Walcott in the winter transfer window as after failing to secure regular playing time, doubts have emerged regarding his future.

Walcott, 28, joined the North London club back in 2006, but he has never lived up to his potential that Arsenal thought he has after signing him from Southampton.

Albeit often deployed out wide instead of his preferred number 9 role, Theo Walcott has only scored 20-goals once in 11 league seasons, while he’s only played 10 matches in all competitions this year as he has fallen further down the pecking order at Arsenal.

As per The Sun, the England international attacker is set to be sold in the New Year if the right bid arrives, and that will give the Gunners the chance to raise money and reinvest in the team with defenders Mathieu Debuchy, Calum Chambers and Carl Jenkinson also believed to be up for sale.

By cashing in on these three players for a start and reinforcing, the French tactician will hope the move can give the club a major boost going forward, although the Arsenal boss also has to make plans for the possible exits of German midfielder Mesut Ozil and Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez.
