22-Year-Old Chelsea Target Told To Join Everton By Brazilian Teammate

Everton forward Richarlison has told his Brazilian international teammate David Neres to join him on Merseyside this summer.

David Neres plays his club football for Dutch champions Ajax Amsterdam at the moment though it must be pointed out that Everton are one of the top two favourites for his signature this summer alongside French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

The 22-year-old has publicly talked about his preference for the Premier League thus making Everton the front-runners for his signature.

Richarlison is a blueprint for David Neres on how he can easily adapt to the Premier League if he decides to move to the top flight of English football.

The Everton attacker joined Watford from Brazilian Serie A club Fluminense in 2017 before signing for the Toffees last summer for an initial fee of £40m that could still rise to £50m depending on add-ons.

He went on to score 13 league goals for Everton in his debut season for the Merseyside giants.

David Neres was previously linked with both Arsenal and Chelsea but the two London clubs are far behind in the race to sign the player.

Richarlison and David Neres played for the Brazilian u-20 team together and the two players are currently on Brazilian duty at the ongoing COPA America on home soil.

Richarlison spoke to reporters about David Neres and Everton immediately after the 3-0 win over Bolivia in the 2019 COPA America opener.

According to him, he has discussed the possibility of an Everton transfer with the Ajax Amsterdam forward.
