Good News – Liverpool Injured Man Could Play Against Leicester City!

Danny Ings

Liverpool talented striker Danny Ings could play for his side this week despite concerns after he was withdrawn from an Under-23 game recently.

Ings has endured an unpleasant injury record since moving to Liverpool from Burnley, and he has been sidelined since October last year after picking up a knee injury.

During Liverpool’s U23 game against Manchester City last week at Preston Park, the forward was taken off before the first half break, which raised some concerns that he may have suffered a setback.

Nevertheless, there are possibilities he will be playing for the first team this week after he resumed training with Jurgen Klopp’s squad.

The reds Under-23 side will clash with West Ham on Monday while the senior side are taking Leicester City on Tuesday for the League Cup.

And Liverpool’s Under-23 boss Neil Critchley has made it known that Danny may not be involved during his side’s clash with West Ham, which is a hint that Klopp could play him tomorrow against Leicester City.

‘We would be delighted to have [Ings against West Ham], but if we don’t get him and if he is not with us [at the U23 side], then maybe it means he is involved with the first team’ Neil told Liverpool’s official website.

This season so far, the striker has already featured five times for his club’s Under-23 side and his fitness will add more quality to Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
